That is a good question. The answer to that would be yes; if they want too. There is nothing in Wicca that forces you to give up eating meat as a balanced part of your diet. Anyone who says different is ill informed or lying.
Many militant animal rights activists/vegans like to use the Wiccan Rede as a way to try and convince newer Wiccans to see things their way. They twist the meaning of the Rede to fit their agenda in ways that all fundamentalists twist facts to achieve their goals. Well, that is just not the case. It takes the most strict reading of the Rede which is impossible to follow in order to justify such ideas.

Wicca is moving into Third Place
In the United States Wicca is the fastest growing religion. We double our numbers every 2.5 years. It has been projected that if Wicca continues to grow at this rate, then by 2012 it will have moved into third place behind Christianity and Judaism in the United States.
I also came across this funny little video. I do believe the guy in the video is an atheist, but it says so much.
